Cordis Video are looking for an Editor to join the team
We are looking for a Final Cut Pro specialist interested in working in the growing and exciting field of corporate video production. Our ideal candidate is someone who is interested in building a career in this field and wants to be part of a growing organisation.
This is initially a contract position, but it’s our intention to retain the position assuming the workload within the business allows it.
The role:
This role provides a great opportunity to get involved in a burgeoning video production company, operating in a market that has huge growth potential.
You will be managed by an Account Director, but will have full scope for creative input and client-side interaction. If workload expands further additional freelancers will be brought in to support you.
During periods where workload drops (if it does!) you’ll be involved in video-based company marketing (showreels, virals) and product development (motion templates, video channel branding).
Technical skills:
• Final Cut Pro
• Basic Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator
• Adobe Motion (advantage, but not essential)
• Adobe After Effects (advantage, but not essential)
Capabilities:
Personable - willing to interact positively with clients, dealing with their feedback and channelling it to create the best end product possible
Organised - able to manage work to hit deadlines and self-manage
Adaptable - willing to tailor time spent on a project to match client budgets and timeframes.
Production - While there is no plans for this role to do production work (this is currently handled by a freelance roster), there is scope to use our in house kit to improve filming and lighting skills. An interest in this area is not essential but would be a real advantage.

Rate: £80 per day
